What is the difference between statement balance and current balance?

when ever you deposit a check normally $100 are available immediatley the remaining is available that night at midnight





So lets say your balance in your acc was $200 and you deposit a check for $200 your CURRENT balance is $400 (200+200=400) HOWEVER what you have available to you immedaltye is only $300 because the remaining is available that night at midnight.
